He suggested that maybe a walk-in shower would be better than a bath, or if I chose a bath, we could get a non-slip bath with a bathroom mobility kit that includes rails, chair handles and alarms. He offered to do the same mobilty kit if I installed a shower.

No, We will ensure that your toilet is the Last item to be removed from your bathroom and replaced/plumbed back in straight away with the new one. This new installation will be then covered up and protected from damage as we continue our work. you will always have a toilet available. The Bathtub or shower you will need to be without for about a week. so please make alternative arrangements for that.
